N. WISCONSIN - The Department of Workforce Development has awarded more than $1 million to expand Wisconsin's Apprenticeship program.  The money will create new opportunities for companies that are part of emerging industries that participate in apprenticeships. It would also increase awareness of apprenticeship opportunities and improve systems with technology updates.  Wisconsin is one of 46 states to receive funding from the U.S. Department of Labor's $39 million investment. Last year Wisconsin had record-breaking participation with 17 thousand Apprentices.
