MERCER - A Nicolet College student from Mercer made an impressive achievement at a national leadership conference in Atlanta.  Axel Jacobs of Mercer won gold at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in the barbering competition in June.  There were more than 6,000 students competing in the conference.  Winning gold makes Jacobs eligible to compete in the WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai in 2026.
