MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Universities of Wisconsin is looking for the state to give the college system an additional $855 million in the next state budget to stave off tuition increases. The regents are expected to vote on the request Thursday. If approved, it will go to Gov. Tony Evers for his consideration.  Universities of Wisconsin President Jay Rothman says the money is needed to subsidize tuition for low-income students and pay for 8% faculty raises as well as other expenses.
